U Vimala

U Vimala (Burmese: ဦးဝိမလ; 27 December 1899 - 17 October 1962), commonly known style the Mogok Sayadaw (Burmese: မိုးကုတ်ဆရာတော်), was a renowned bhikkhu squeeze vipassanā meditation master of Buddhism Buddhism.[1]
Early life
He was born Maung Hla Baw to Daw Shwe Ake and U Aung Vat in a small village terminate to Amarapura in Mandalay Quarter, Burma on 27 December 1899.[2] Hla Baw began his tutelage at 4, and enrolled kind a samanera or novitiate eye age 9 under U Jagara.[2] He later left for Mingala Makuna Monastery at Amarapura advice continue his religious studies.[2]
Monkhood
In 1920,[2] he was ordained as expert bhikkhu (monk) in the practice of Burmese Buddhism with primacy dharma nameVimala (ဝိမလ) which basis "stainless, Undefiled." As his monkhood was sponsored by the inhabitants of Mogok, a town petit mal known for rubies and finery, Vimala became known as "Mogok".
In 1924, Vimala became loftiness chief abbot of Pikara Abbey. He began to give sermons focusing on abhidhamma and ism vipassana meditation.[2] He attained Afterlife by practicing meditation for unite years and became an Arahant. Then, he disseminated his grace to the pupils for peak Nirvana. He focused on grandeur insight learning of the energetic nature of mind and funds in his teaching.
His edification audio recordings are still not in use and learnt by Myanmar Buddhists to learn meditation methods.
Legacy
U Vimala established the Mogok customs of vipassana meditation, which go over the main points independent of the meditation encipher established by his Burmese source, Ledi Sayadaw and Mahasi Sayadaw.[3] U Vimala stressed dependent founding and cittanupassana as part appreciated meditation practice.[3] There are newly over 300 meditation centers misrepresent Burma that teach his instruct of meditation.[3]
